WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY:

DAN CORDELL

Active Motion has provided a top professional service when it came to fixing a recurring knee problem. After struggling with the range of movement and weight bearing, it was amazing how much improvement there was from the first session alone. The pain had significantly reduced and I could even walk up the stairs again comfortably. The follow up care has been really helpful to ensure I continue to strengthen the surrounding muscles and maintain the great progress so far. The team is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the problem and treatment plan very thoroughly. I highly recommend this clinic and will be using again.

SARAH MCKAY

The team were very professional and friendly which made me feel at ease going to physio appointments. They were very knowledgeable and explained very well the purpose of treatments and the exercises to do at home. I would highly recommend Active Motion and I know where I will do if I have any problems in the future!

JOAN DUFFOSE

Went to see Active Motion as couldn’t stand the pain in my leg and back any longer, never expected much as not a fan of phyisio, but after only two visits the pain was much better,. Now after another two visits I am pain free and recommend Active Motion to anyone.
Thanks for giving me my life back!

WILLIAM NEWSTEAD

I have been going to Active Motion for the last few weeks after injuring my back again. I had spinal surgery 5yrs ago which was unsuccessful, but needed to try something as wasn’t getting any help from the NHS. Theres nothing negative I could say about how they work, so professional & polite, I wasn’t confident that anyone would be able to make improvements to my recent back injury after loosing all feeling in my right foot & excruciating pain from my lower back all the way down my leg, but their hard work is paying off, as I have feeling back in my foot & the pain is decreasing. Thank you so much.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHO DO I NEED TO SEE?

Here at Active Motion all therapists hold undergraduate degrees in their chosen field. Therefore, all therapists have the specialist skill set to examine, treat and rehabilitate all musculoskeletal injuries (Muscle, Joint, Nerve, Bone, Tendon, Ligament and Fascia).

WILL I SEE THE SAME THERAPIST EACH SESSION?

Yes! Unless there are unforeseen circumstances, once you are booked in with a therapist you will stay with them for your course of treatment. If they feel your needs will be better suited with another practitioner this will be discussed with you.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

This will vary depending on the injury, the length of time you have been suffering with the pain and how well you implentment our advice. On average, our patients recover in 6 sessions.

ARE THERE STAIRS?

Our treatment room is situated on the ground floor and is easily accessible.

DO I NEED TO SEE MY GP FIRST?

You do not need to see or be referred by a GP to book a visit with us. We currently do see a lot of patients referred by their GP. We may contact your GP on your behalf if needed.

SHOULD I TAKE MY PAINKILLERS BEFORE MY SESSION?

Yes, if you are currently taking painkillers for your pain, you are able to take normal painkillers before any appointment. It won’t affect how we treat or assess. However, if you can cope without taking them this is advised. If you are not currently taking painkillers, do not take any before seeing us.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We are currently in the process of being recognised by insurers, therefore, we can not accept insurance. However, we can provide an invoice for you to claim sessions back from your medical insurer.

DO YOU OFFER HOME VISITS?

We do offer home visits. Please call or email us to arrange this due to the added planning.
