Jordan Sahota is a university lecturer and former professional football therapist. He was born and raised not far from the clinic in a small village called Kings Worthy, just outside of Winchester, and currently lives with his small family in Bishops Waltham, just outside of Eastleigh.
Jordan became a therapist due to his own health-related issues. He used to be a competitive ballroom and Latin dancer and represented the UK on multiple occasions, travelling to places like Isley in Russia and appearing on Strictly Come Dancing at the age of 11.
Unfortunately, he started to experience knee pain at 13 and had a failed knee surgery at 14. He was told that he wouldn’t be able to walk again if he continued doing what he was doing at the age of 21.
He went on to have two injections in his knee by the time he was 17 and was told that he needed further knee surgery, which involved six months of learning to walk again. Over 10 years later, he is still going strong, having had no knee surgery. However, he was told that he wouldn’t be able to walk again if he continued doing what he was doing, and technically that wasn’t wrong, because after his second injection, he wasn’t able to walk for a month.
Ultimately, all of these personal experiences led him to become the therapist that he is today. He opened Active Motion Injury Clinic to help people continue the activities that they love and enjoy, whether that’s playing with their grandkids, going for a run, engaging in sports, or just wanting to maintain their independence and mobility.
At the Active Motion Injury Clinic, our goal is to ensure patients do not have the same experience as Jordan. An experience filled with painkillers, a lack of mobility, and relying on others to help with daily activities. In his case, it was his mum helping him out of bed in the morning at 14.
Jordan is passionate and committed to helping as many people as possible make lasting recoveries and get out of pain so they can return to having a high-quality life.
